ASPHALT / BITUMEN
Bitumen, also known as asphalt, is a sticky, black and highly viscous liquid or semi solid present in most crude petroleum and in some natural deposits. Bitumen is primarily used in road construction as the glue or binder mixed with aggregate particles to create asphalt concrete. It is also commonly used for bituminous waterproofing products, including production of roofing felt and for sealing flat roofs.
Our company supplies Bitumen Penetration Grade 60/70 which is more concentrated compared with grade 80/100, thus the resurfaced road would have a higher stiffness thus able to withstand higher traffic load. Based on foreign studies, bitumen penetration grade 60/70 could withstand a higher traffic load of up to 21%. It also increases the road's life span by up to 18% compared with bitumen penetration grade 80/100.
