Gasoline / Petrol
Gasoline or Petrol as it is widely known here in Malaysia is a transparent petroleum derived liquid that is primarily used as a fuel in internal combustion engines such as automobiles and marine outboard motors with spark-ignition engines. Petrol consists mostly of organic compounds obtained by the fractional distillation of petroleum, enhanced with a variety of additives.
Petrol is characterized by a specific Research Octane Number (RON) rating, a measure of the knocking tendency of the automobile engines. The Malaysian market currently caters for Petrol grades RON 95, RON 97 and RON 100 (only carried by one brand starting 2016). The Government of Malaysia replaced RON 92 petrol with RON 95 petrol and classified RON 97 as premium petrol effective 1st September 2009.
Our company distributes both grades of RON 95 and RON 97. Due to the nature of Petrol, we need to conduct a site visit first prior to the initial supply. We have very stringent safety requirements on customer’s storage place as petrol is a highly flammable product.
